Construction of a new bridge in Dubai 🌉

A new project to upgrade the transport infrastructure begins in Dubai — the construction of a new bridge that will connect the mainland and the Dubai Islands archipelago by 2026. This bridge will have 8 lanes for cars, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths, with a total length of 1,425 meters.

🚗 The new route «The Dubai Islands» will have direct entry and exit from Bur Dubai via a bridge that will span Dubai Creek between Infinity Bridge and Port Rashid. The bridge will be located at an altitude of 15.5 meters above the waters of Dubai Creek and will create a 75-meter-wide channel through which ships can pass.

🚶‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Within the framework of the project, a dedicated lane will be organized for cyclists and pedestrians on one side of the bridge. Two elevators will also be installed on each side for ease of movement. In addition, the construction of the bridge provides for an increase in the length of surface roads by 2 kilometers, which will connect with the existing roads Bur Dubai and Dubai Islands.
